Hey guys!! Welcome back to another Christmas Clean + Decorate With Me! This week, we’re decorating the main floor for Christmas — Winter Wonderland theme! This year, I used lots of decor from last year, but added a few new pieces to keep the area cozy and neutral, fitting into the Winter Wonderland theme. Also in today’s video, I shared some favorite Christmas traditions, including a holiday bucket list & a budget friendly hot cocoa bar! Our favorite ideas & tips for the hot cocoa bar will also be included later on in this post!

Shop your Home :: This should always come first! Be creative when "shopping". Use something in your home, & give it a new purpose! There are so many items already in your home that could work perfectly and cost you absolutely nothing! Also, when decorating for the holidays, you can find simple colored decor (like red for Christmas) and that can be used all year round!
Start Small :: Focus on one section at a time & don’t get overwhelmed thinking of the big picture just yet! A simple way to decorate your space is buying pillow inserts ONCE & buy seasonal covers to change the style, color, texture or mood of the room, ON A BUDGET!
Take Your Time & Shop Discounts! :: Make sure you find things you LOVE & are INSPIRED by! Finding things on a deal make decorating not only budget friendly, but often fun & unique pieces as well! Stores like Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls, etc. sell unique pieces, highly discounted! I find so many of my favorite items at any & all of these stores, every season!
Be Flexible & Restore! :: Sometimes what we first envision just doesn't turn out! Have an open mind & look at other options to help find the best set up for you! Be open-minded when browsing a thrift store or online marketplace. You can find tons of pieces with good bones that just need a little TLC!
I also love sharing deals for items I find online on the app LIKEtoKNOWit, so if you're not following me there, definitely do! Don't miss any special deals I find or items I'm loving & sharing!

Our hot cocoa bar comes out every winter & it has become one of our favorites!! My boys love getting involved in setting it up, & they love that they can help make their own hot cocoa! This is a great way to include your kids in the decorating for the holiday season.
All you'll really need is a container, tray, or another display item to hold your hot cocoa times, and of course your favorite toppings! This can be done on a budget -- most the items I use to stock up our hot cocoa bar are from the dollar tree!
Some of our favorite things to add into our hot cocoa bar are:
hot cocoa mix -or- apple cider
m&m's
marshmallows
Andes chocolates
Hershey’s kisses
sprinkles
& candy canes!
You can customize your hot cocoa bar with whatever fits your family best!
