Shared Room for 4 Boys | Farmhouse Makeover Series :: Episode 1

Updated: Nov 9, 2020

Hey guys! We spent the last week or two in Montana, filming a new makeover series for you all! I'm so excited to share Farmhouse Makeover Series :: Episode 1 with you guys on my YouTube Channel today! In today's episode, we are making over a shared bedroom for 4 young boys! I can't wait to share this transformation with you guys, complete with BEFORE & AFTER shots!! I'll also be adding some of my favorite space saving tips for any bedroom & closet space!

In order to make the room functional for 4 boys, we used a triple bunkbed with a full bed on bottom! This provided maximum space for the boys. Because bunkbeds can be so tough to make (unless you're using Beddy's bedding or something similar), I like to use just a fitted sheet & folded quilt! Fold the quilt at the bottom of the bed each day, & pull it up to sleep at night! This makes it so much easier to make bunkbeds each day!

(before + after)

Another FAVORITE bedroom item I use in almost all my makeovers is a cube organizer! Because this room was for 4 boys, this was the largest cube organizer we've used so far. This was a great way to use as a dresser for everyone to have their own space, in smallest amount of floor space used & at the best deal! They come in so many different sizes, colors, & you can customize it with the organizer bin pattern that fits your style.

This makeover included a bunch of DIY projects! We built closet built-ins & added clothing rods, as well as wooden frames! I'll be sharing tips on how to create these room transformations on our Farmhouse Makeover Video, & I'll link the items we used in order to do it!

M A K E O V E R T I P S

Clean Up & Declutter :: Doing a quick pick-up gives you a clean slate & a fresh mind to start your makeover!

Start Small :: Focus on one section at a time. A large area can be so overwhelming if you're trying to take it on all at once!

Take Your Time :: Don't feel rushed to make the space look great. Make sure you find things you LOVE & are INSPIRED by!

Be Flexible :: Sometimes what we envision just doesn't turn out! Having an open mind & looking at several options will help you find the best set up for you!

I hope you guys enjoyed this Farmhouse Makeover video! Be sure to tag me over on Instagram to show me how you've used these tips to makeover your area, big or small!

Stay tuned for the next three episodes of our Farmhouse Makeover Series, coming this week & next!

Found your channel today - loving the styling but I’m a bit confused? It looks like the farm house is HUGE but the 4 boys are sharing one room and the daughter looks like she lives in a WIR… is the ground floor a barn or something? why is the house space so small in a huge building? I’m in Australia so we don’t really have homes like this, so just interested. it’s amazing what you are doing with such small spaces
