I know last year was a bit of a mess, and 2021 is getting off to a rough start. Everywhere we look, there is stress & sadness... I love cleaning in the evening when I have a little time to myself with the house calm, and quiet. I usually put in an audiobook or podcast and get started! I've found that cleaning before bed has helped my next day start off on a fresh, motivating start!
2020 has been a HARD year for all of us! Whether your struggles were big or small, the same or different than your neighbor, it's best to just let go of perfection! Give yourself grace and relax those high expectations you've put on yourself over time. Comparing ourselves with others only brings us down, so please stop comparing! (I know it's easier said than done) We often don't see the true real life stories of other people.. especially on social media! Comparing, chasing perfection, and placing high expectations on yourself only STEALS joy! So let it go, and let yourself see the amazing things in your own life... perfect or not.
On this particular night, I took the time to undecorate for Christmas & also declutter the decor I no longer plan to use & store the rest for next year!
In 2021, work with me to bring that joy and peace back into your life! My goal this year is to give myself a better mindset -- to focus on what truly matters, and not worrying about the little things. I want to spend more time with my family, let the messes happen in the moment, and enjoy life!
