Supplies ::

  • Cricut Maker

  • Cricut Mat

  • Stencil Vinyl & Transfer Tape

  • Chalk Paint & brushes

  • Wooden Signs

Find various sizes of wooden signs anywhere you want! I've found several at local craft stores, thrift shops, or even using old ones you already have & painting them! I drew a few cute pumpkin stencils I'm going to be using for this project, and you can find them here if you'd like to make the same ones! You can check out any of these designs on Etsy, Cricut Design Space, or even create your own!

Once you have your design picked out, add the file into Design Space. From there, you can custom fit your designs to fit the wooden frames you will be using. Once you have this all set up, cut the stencil vinyl down to the size you need, stick it to your Cricut mat, and load the mat into your Cricut machine!

Once your machine is done cutting, unload it from the machine and take the vinyl off your mat! Now, weed your design off the mat. (pull away the excess vinyl) Then, add transfer tape to the top of your stencil.

I wanted to have the back of my signs painted, so I used chalk paint I found at Walmart & Hobby Lobby! Chalk paint goes easily on so many surfaces, and is so forgiving! After the paint is dry, I stuck my stencil on my wooden sign and started painting my design with the stencil in place. Once it's mostly dry, I slowly pull up the stencil and it's ready!

Before I start any cooking, I always do a quick clean up! It may seem silly to clean just before I start cooking and make a mess in the kitchen again, but this way, I start with a clean slate, fresh mind, & stay focused on my cooking with a clean kitchen! I also had a few extra chores to get done, and after I'm done cooking recipes, the last thing I want to do, is tackle a huge mess - so I got it tackled first! This way, I only have the to wash the dishes I've dirtied.

Ingredients ::

  • 4-5 chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)

  • 1/2 onion (chopped)

  • 1 Tbsp garlic (minced)

  • 16 oz jar salsa verde

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

First, chop the onion and mince garlic, then set aside. Add the chicken breasts into your slow cooker (you can use fresh or frozen). Next, add the remaining ingredients into your slow cooker. Put on the lid & cook on high for 3-4 hours, OR low for 6-8 hours. Once cooked, shred the chicken and serve! We love to enjoy this in tacos, burrito bowls, over a salad, or in quesadillas! Of course with ALL the yummy toppings! ENJOY!

**If you're making this as a freezer meal, add all ingredients into a freezer bag, remove as much air as possible & freeze until ready to cook. Then, defrost in the fridge the night before OR pour warm water on the outside of the frozen meal to help the contents release from the bag easily, then add into your slow cooker & cook as usual!
