Hey guys! I'm so excited to share with you guys Episode 4 of our -NEW- Budget Boho Makeover Series on my YouTube Channel! Today, we are making over my sister's pantry! I wanted to make this space functional, while also making it look peaceful & beautiful. Having an organized pantry encourages you to cook & make good choices when opening that pantry door!

Before starting I makeover, I always ask:
What are the problems in this space?
What are the functions you want to accomplish in this room?
Once I have these questions answered, I'm able to really focus in on what changes need to be made in the room. Let's get organizing!
- CLEAN UP & MAKE A PLAN! -
A quick pick-up & declutter gives you a clean slate & a fresh mind to start your makeover! Before we started, we knew what items we were keeping, and what was being taken out. This helped the cleaning & decluttering process go so much smoother, because we knew exactly what went where!
- START SMALL & TAKE YOUR TIME! -
Focus on one section at a time. A large area can be so overwhelming if you're trying to take it on all at once! Don't feel rushed to make the space look great. Makeovers usually take me weeks to plan out everything I want. Make sure you find things you LOVE & are INSPIRED by!
I decided to paint the shelves Benjamin Moore Pale Oak, just to give the shelves a fresh look. This really upgraded the space as a whole! I also added easy to grab baskets for outdoor picnics, or snacks for her little kids!
- CUSTOMIZE AFFORDABLE PIECES -
In today's video, I shared my favorite airtight containers! These were found at Walmart, and are significantly cheaper than the name brand! They keep your food fresh, and make your pantry look cohesive and clean. When on a budget, make sure to shop around before you buy, to make sure you're getting the best deal!
We also used an over-the-door organizer in the pantry makeover! While this can be hung over the door, it can also be anchored into the wall. This is another GREAT way to maximize your pantry storage! We were able to fit so much more in the pantry now that we used the can organizer on the door.
- BE FLEXIBLE & ALLOW HICCUPS! -
Sometimes what we envision just doesn't turn out! I hardly ever have a makeover without some type of hiccup! Having an open mind & looking at several options will help you find the best set up for you!
- ADD YOUR OWN TOUCH + DIYS -
DIY pantry labels
Make your OWN custom pantry labels! When I was searching for pre-made labels, I really struggled to find a price I was comfortable with! I decided to DIY my own labels with my circuit machine! It's also cheaper (& more custom) to order labels off Etsy -- so make sure you do your research before you buy, in order to stay on budget!
